Flood Relief Camp Today, Rotary Club Chandigarh organized a medical camp at Village Bud Majra, Mohali in association with Dr BR Ambedkar State Institute of Medical Sciences, Mohali. Due to flooding of water in the village and contamination in drinking water, there was outbreak of Cholera which affected the health of people badly. This led to the death of a child recently. Director Club services Rtn Teena Virk, Rtn Dr Bavneet Bharti and President Elect Rtn Jatinder Kapur distributed medicines worth Rs 17,000 and organized medical assistance with the help of Civil Surgeon, Senior Medical Officers and over 25 medical students of the Institute, Block Officers and Sarpanches. Announcements for water purification/chlorination were made throughout the village regarding awareness. Shri Balbir Singh, Health Minister Punjab was present at the venue and motivated the team.
