Awareness on Thalassemia
MC Commissioner, Ms Anindita Mitra in the presence of media, spoke about benefits of blood donation, perpetuating our cause and actions. She along with President Anil Chadda also launched the Thalassemia Awareness Project, initiated by THE ROTARY CLUB CHANDIGARH. Literature on Thalassemia was distributed and individual conversations were held to promote the Urgent requirement of a single blood test for Thalassemia detection. The Mayor, Mr. Gupta, urged Rotary to promote the need for making this a compulsory test prior to marriage.
