We conducted a session on menstrual cycle onset, menstrual hygiene management and gender sensitization in GSSS Sector 49 D Chandigarh . 377 students benefitted from the programme .The anatomy of female reproductive system was imparted in the most scientific manner for effective understanding of the onset of menstrual cycle The students showed great interest and asked questions about various related issues, which our dedicated volunteers effectively addressed. We successfully dispelled various taboos surrounding menstruation like not taking head baths, not touching pickle when on periods etc.The students expressed that the session has boosted their confidence, and they’ll now further raise awareness about menstruation in their communities.
