SWEETS FOR JAWANS ON DIWALI
Rotary club of Chandigarh, under the guidance of PRIP Rajender K Saboo and PDG M Malhotra has been instrumental in sending truck load of sweets to the jawans posted in border areas for the past couple of years. This year too 6000 Boxes of sweets, costing a total of Rs 30 lakhs were flagged off in 2 trucks from Raj Bhawan by HE Sh Banwari Lal Purohit on 7th November. These would be air lifted to be distributed in Army units deployed at Ladakh and Siachen borders where our jawans stand guard in difficult condition. Our club too contributed Rs 31000 for this noble cause
