Thalassemia awareness
More than 270 participants took part in the campaign organized by Rotary cub of Chandigarh in association with CGC Landran. They were made aware about Thalassemia a genetic blood disorder which causes the body to make less than normal levels of haemoglobin. They were urged to get themselves screened for the condition and persuade their friends and family to also get tested for Thalassemia to reduce and/or manage the risk of passing it on to their progeny. The awareness session was taken by Rtn. Preeti Kaur and Anne Sukrita wherein they explained the participants about the importance of test before marriage.
