WASH IN GOVT SCHOOLS
A campaign on the pad distribution was done at Government Model High School, RC 1, Dhanas amongst 450 girl students in the presence of Principal Varinder Kaur and coordinator Lakhwinder Kaur. It was done by the facilitators Mr. Vishrut Jain and Ms. Gurvinder Kaur. We conducted a precopulatory session on menstrual cycle onset and menstrual hygiene management. The students showed great interest and asked questions about various related issues, which our dedicated volunteers effectively addressed. We successfully dispelled various taboos surrounding menstruation. The students expressed that our monthly visits have boosted their confidence, and they now raise awareness about menstruation in their communities. The girls were very inquisitive and enquired about various issues around the same which were effectively resolved by the accompanying volunteers
