WASH IN GOVT SCHOOLS
Menstrual Hygiene Management & Pads Distribution Drive for girls and Gender Sensitisation for boys were done at Government Model Senior Secondary School Raipur Kalan U.T Chandigarh wherein 654 students were covered and 275 pad were distributed amongst girl students by Ms. Manjula Sularia, Mr. Inder, Mr. Mohit Kaushal, Ms. Gulshan, Ms. Gurwinder kaur in the presence of Principal Ms. Sunita Rani and coordinator Yashpal. We conducted a session on menstrual cycle onset, menstrual hygiene management and gender sensitization. The anatomy of the female reproductive system was imparted in the most scientific manner for effective understanding of the onset of menstrual cycle We successfully dispelled various taboos surrounding menstruation like not taking head baths, not touching pickle when on periods etc.
