WASH IN GOVT SCHOOLS
Menstrual Hygiene Management & Pads Distribution Drive for girls and Gender Sensitisation for boys were conducted at Government Model Senior Secondary School Sector- 39/C U.T Chandigarh by Mr. Inder, Mr. Vishrut Jain, Mr. Mohit Kaushal, Ms. Rimpi, Ms. Gurwinder kaur in the presence of Principal Sangeeta Chhabra and coordinator Navneet Kaur wherein 794 students participated and 250 pads were distributed. We conducted a session on menstrual cycle onset, menstrual hygiene management and gender sensitization. The anatomy of the female reproductive system was imparted in the most scientific manner for effective understanding of the onset of menstrual cycle We successfully dispelled various taboos surrounding menstruation like not taking head baths, not touching pickle when on periods etc.
