WASH IN GOVT SCHOOLS
Rotary club of chandigarh conducted a session on menstrual cycle onset, menstrual hygiene management and gender sensitisation. The anatomy of the female reproductive system was imparted in the most scientific manner for effective understanding of the onset of menstrual cycle in Government Model Senior Secondary School Sarangpur U.T Chandigarh in the presence of Principal: Mrs. Narinder Kaur and Coordinator: Mrs. Anita wherein 242 students participated. 200 pads were distributed amongst the girls students. We successfully dispelled various taboos surrounding menstruation like not taking head baths, not touching pickle when on periods etc.The event was facilitated by Ms. Manjula Sularia, Mr. Inder, Mr. Vishrut Jain, Ms. Vinita Shah.
