WASH IN GOVT SCHOOLS
Rotary club of chandigarh conducted a session on menstrual cycle onset, menstrual hygiene management and gender sensitisation. The anatomy of the female reproductive system was imparted in the most scientific manner for effective understanding of the onset of menstrual cycle in Government Model Senior Secondary School Karsan “Ramdarbar” U.T Chandigarh in the presence of Principal: Mrs. Sangeeta Gulati and Coordinator: Mrs. Anjula wherein 730 students participated. 500 pads were distributed . Girls were educated about proper and safe disposal of sanitary pads. It was suggested by teachers and students that such sessions could be conducted with both girls and boys together for better understanding and greater impact.
