Sweets for Jawans of Army on Diwali
Rotary sent 6000 boxes of sweets to jawans on border area on 7th. November 2023 HE Sh. Banwari Lal Purohit, Governor Punjab and UT administrator flagged off two trucks containing 6000 boxes of sweets to Jawans on border area from Raj Bhawan. On this occasion HE said that it is a commendable gesture on the part of Rotarian to remember our jawans who are guarding on borders day and night so that we can live in peace. The consignment was further lifted by Indian air force for further distribution to Army units deployed at Ladak and Siachen borders where our jawans stand guard in difficult conditions. “AAP HAI TAU HUM HAI” A greeting was pasted on each box of sweet from Rotary District 3080.
