Van Mahotsav
Eco club of Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School in collaboration with Umeed Club jointly hosted Vanmahotsav in the school premises on 28 July 2023. The event was presided over by the Chief Guest Kamal Kishore Yadav, CEO, Punjab Bureau of Investment Promotion and Taxation Commissioner, Punjab, Anil Chadha President of Rotary Club Chd.The celebration of ‘Van Mahotsav Week’ was an ideal opportunity to instill personal and social responsibility in the students towards safeguarding trees and forests. The programme kicked off with ‘The Tree Plantation Drive’, where saplings were planted by the Chief Guest Sh. K K Yadav and Resident RC Chandigarh Rtn. Anil Chadda . Skit on ‘Earth without Oxygen’ was presented by the students to show importance of the same. Subsequently, awareness and to propagate the slogan ‘Beat the Plastic’.
