RESUCE DRIVE
Rotary Club Shimla on 11th January participated in the rescue drive which was conducted by the rescue committee under the project shelter for urban homeless M.C Shimla.Rotary Club Shimla is part of this committee.
The rescue drive started at 10.30 p.m and continued till 12 p.m.40 beggers, ragpickers& homeless people who were sleeping in the open at the old bus stand,lift & Victory tunnel ares were taken to the Raan Basera of the M.C Shimla near Auckland Tunnel.
Rotary Club Shimla came forward and after counselling the beggars other persons sleeping in the open were able to convince them to stay in the Raan basera there by saving them from the extreme cold .Mr Subham Manager NHLM led this rescue drive. Present in this drive were PP Rtn Manu Aggarwal & Myself.
