Rtn. Rajpal Singh was born in Ambala Cantt. in a family engaged in the business of retail and distribution of machinery parts. He did his schooling and graduation from Ambala Cantt. before moving to Saharanpur, where he joined his family business. In addition to Saharanpur, the business is well established in Dehradun as well. He is also involved in the business of Real Estate Development.
Rtn. Rajpal Singh joined Rotary Club, Saharanpur in the year 1991. He served as the Club President in 2001-02 and was awarded ‘Best President’ in the District. He served as Assistant Governor in 2004-05 and was awarded as the ‘Best Assistant Governor’ in the District. He has also served as the Chairman of Membership Development Committee, Chairman of Community Service, Faculty Member at PETS/SETS multiple times and District Rotary Public Image Chair. He is a multiple Paul Harris Fellow. He is a hard working man with a clear vision to strengthen the Rotary Organization, enhance its public image and execute meaningful projects of social service.
Being a businessman by profession, he has been working ardently to defend the rights of manufactures and traders for more than 25 years. During this time, he has served as the President of Saharanpur Machinery Merchant Association multiple times. Currently he is Patron of the Association. he also serves as the State Organization Secretary of Uttar Pradesh Udyog Vyapar Pratinidhi Mandal, one of the largest association of manufacturers and traders in Uttar Pradesh. He has also played a leading role in many movements and conventions with regard to trader’s issues.
He is a founder member of Prabhuji ki Rasoi, an organisation started by Lok Kalyan Samiti, Saharanpur, which serves nutritious free food to 400-500 poor and disabled people daily. This community kitchen is supported and directed by Saharanpur District Administration, Saharanpur Nagar Nigam and various social service organisations. During covid-19 pandemic, Prabhuji ki Rasoi played a key role in serving the society.
Rtn. Rajpal Singh is a suave, simple, social and a preserving person. Inspired from his mentors and parents, a nature of serving the helpless and needy is evident in his outlook. He has been serving as an active member in the affairs of Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Saharanpur from many years. Besides serving as the Vice President and Executive Member of the Gurudwara Management Committee, he has been working on several other positions.
His entire family is actively involved in religious and social work. They celebrate festivals of all religions with full vigour.
His wife, Inderbir Kaur is a homemaker and very active in the city’s social circle. They have two children, a daughter, Jasneet Kaur, who is married and settled in Chandigarh and a son, Harneet Singh, who is married and settled in Gurugram.
